SINCE 1968

OUR STORY

Back in the 1940s, Bob Smith, along with his father, Lloyd, started a business providing area residents with cold storage for their sides and quarters of beef. Over time, they added processing services that included cutting and packaging, flash freezing, curing, and portioning. A few years later, King Kold was officially established, expanding to also fill the needs of restaurants and other food purveyors.

Today, we’re a fourth-generation, full-service operation, offering fresh and frozen meats; fully cooked entrees; specialty portioned burgers, sausages, and steaks; heat and serve items; pizza toppings; custom menu items; paper goods; and more. If it’s food-related, we can probably provide it.

We learned the tools of our customer service trade by being a fixture in the community for more than 55 years and carrying forward the values on which our business was built. That means whether you’re a food distributor, food service operator, or a family down the road, we promise to provide quality products, dedicated care and attention, and always a friendly welcome when you come by. We can’t imagine doing business any other way.
